Akhirnya organisasi Tokyo 2020 telah merilis jadwal resmi untuk kompetisi Olimpiade Tokyo 2020 secara lengkap dengan total 339 jadwal acara dan 33 cabang olahraga yang akan diselenggarakan.

Sejalan dengan tujuan Tokyo 2020 yaitu “gender-balanced, more youth-focused and more urban “ panitia juga telah memperkenalkan sejumlah olahraga baru yang nantinya akan menjadi pertandingan inti yaitu Karate, Panjat Tebing, Surfing dan juga Skateboard.

Ini merupakan sebuah ajang olahraga dunia yang sangat ditunggu-tunggu oleh masyarakat dunia dan akan dimulai pada tanggal 24 juli 2020 – 9 Agustus 2020.

Selain itu ada beberapa tanggal juga yang harus kalian perhatikan yaitu :

*) Untuk jadwal boxing sendiri bersifat sementara karena keputusan yang dibuat oleh Dewan Eksekutif IOC pada 30 November 2018 yang membekukan perencanaan untuk turnamen tinju Olimpiade di Tokyo 2020.

**) Dan untuk jadwal surfing akan diadakan dari 26 Juli hingga 2 Agustus. Mulai dari 26 Juli, jadwal akan tergantung pada kondisi gelombang nantinya.
